Do at-home antigen tests work as effectively for the BA5 variant as the other Omicron variants?

12:34
What is the incubation period for the B4 & B5 variants?

14:26
Thank you

16:17
Would you mind sharing any big changes in the guidance that would be helpful as we start thinking about adjusting protocols?

16:50
every question CDPH has rcvd about testing https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/Frequently-Asked-Questions-Preliminary-K-12-Testing-Framework--2022--23-School-Year.aspx#Over-the-Counter%20%28OTC%29%20and%20At-Home%20Antigen%20Tests

17:04
Can you discuss staff and volunteer requirements and what the county expectation is around collecting vaccine status and testing?

17:22
Why is there the switch from PCR to Antigen?

18:17
@michellehammons the Antigen tests are more conclusive for current infections

18:19
Follow up and for staff

18:31
Thank you Jennifer

18:35
We have some test kits that are expiring.

19:19
We have some test kits that are expiring, should we still be using them?

19:23
PCRs can indicate an infection has occurred, but it could be any time in the last 90 days

19:32
If we go to antigen testing for surveillance testing, would we be able to get weekly shipments of home tests?

20:22
CDPH will be releasing their request forms for testing kits for the 22/23 school year in mid-August

21:03
Linda - I'm happy to talk to you if you want to reach out. lspiegler@lafsd.org

21:43
@cfrancisco about expiration dates https://testing.covid19.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/332/2022/03/Temporary-Extension-At-Home-Test-Expirations.pdf

22:25
we have them write their name and date with a pen and take a picture.

22:41
@Linda - We require the pic to include Name and Date on the test.

22:54
Yes, the name has to be written on the test.

23:04
And if you're using Primary.Health, you can check results in the platform. They can't scan one test more than once.

25:28
Can you elaborate on the opening of drinking fountains? Is their evidence that COVID cannot be spread using communal drinking fountains?

26:14
Question: Can schools track the OTC/at-home test results?Answer: Yes – schools enrolled in Primary.Health can track their students' results. If your school/LEA is interested in enrolling in Primary.Health to track results, please email CArapidtest@primary.health and indicate you need a school account for OTC/at-home only. They will walk you through the steps of generating a registration link to share with your school community. If your school opts not to create your own individualized profile on Primary.Health, please encourage reporting through a general California Schools link:https://my.primary.health/l/caschoolsPrimaryTest Your Student Flyer (ca.gov)California Schools At-Home Testing · Schedule Appointment (primary.health)

26:55
thank you @eija for bringing up Primary Health

28:25
Will we be required to have a site/school specific CPP written and posted on our websites any longer? Instead can we simply link the current guidance on our sites and let families know that we agree to abide by that guidance from CDPH?

28:48
The way I read the new guidance, testing when a student has symptoms is now a "recommendation" is this true? Will CCHS make a new grid?

30:43
I was unable to attend the CDPH zoom yesterday. Was it recorded? If so, how can I obtain a copy?

31:18
I don’t think the CDPH zoom meeting was recorded. I have some rough notes that I’m happy to share.

31:28
You can email me at yalda@golestankids.com

34:59
They are going to repeat the CDPH webinar.

37:38
When is the CDPH being repeated?

40:25
The health order requiring testing for unvaccinated staff says "workers" must be tested. The order's definition of workers includes "volunteers who are on-site at a school campus supporting school functions." Can you help us understand which volunteers are included in the health order and which are NOT included? Did you say that parent volunteers are not included?

42:30
Do you anticipate that the county will "require" something that the state is not?

43:09
Please keep the GRID, it has been super helpful!

43:42
We're not removing the GRID! Might tweak, but not eliminate

44:25
Yes, understood. I just wanted to thank you for the GRID 8)

44:51
can you post link for grid polease

45:41
If our school doesn’t have common issues related to PCR (for eg - lag: we get results within hours) is the county recomending moving away from PCR per CDPH?

45:47
Amy - that was very helpful. Thank you!

46:06
Thank you Jennifer!

46:25
Exposure Notifications that I email often get overlooked or buried in the parents Email.

47:17
Thank you. To confirm, your preference is Antigen testing.

47:25
Any suggestions? Has anyone used Text "Push Notifications" to parents Mobile phone? Any success with methods other than email? Linda King

48:51
With the new variant they are saying there are more false negatives with the antigen testing are there any recommendations on how to handle the new variant?

49:26
For employees who have to test weekly, you still recommend Antigen over PCR? If we decide to shift to Antigen testing, is it our responsibility to provide these "at home tests" to our employees?

50:26
@linda I was going to mention text notices; I know some schools/districts have used this method w/varying success. I think it would depend on if the school can set up and implement that system

53:26
My apologies if this was asked before. In regards to reporting positive cases, are we going to continue with outbreak reports only for next SY?

54:32
Due to the frequency of COVID exposures parents have not wanted to receive texts

55:43
As a parent of two kids in high school last year, I received multiple emails every day and simply stopped reading them… :-/

59:06
Can you please refresh my memory. Is Day 0 start of symptoms or date of positive test? When there are multiple siblings testing positive, would the first household case start day 0 for siblings. If there were symptoms and a negative test, which is day 0? If there is a debatable day 0, is it safe to say that if a + case reverts to -, they are safe to return? Thank you for clarification.

59:07
Thank you!

01:03:38
Can you please discuss what a weekly notification to the whole student body might look like? Would it identify the number of cases that week, maybe exposure dates, and the grade(s) affected?

01:13:39
Thank you!

01:14:13
THANK YOU

01:14:21
Thank you!
